We are so thankful for all the prayers, emotional support, and encouraging words we receive from everyone everywhere. Co-workers, people in nearby community, friends, family, lovely people we've never met but people we know know them; comment on blogs, Facebook, Instagram and make phonecalls. The blog has been shared so many times and read a lot too! We are shocked by how quickly the word spread and how many prayers have been sent.
We stand amazed and are often overwhelmed by the overflowing abundance of kindness. Words can't express our gratitude. Thank you! Merci! Danke! Bedankt! Gracias!
Friends and family have set up a Go Fund Me account, to cover costs that we face at this time. Lianne shared this on Facebook this week: For the last 6-8 months I had one major plan for this year, and that was to visit the Netherlands while my brother and his family who I haven't seen in almost 3 years are there (Corné van Iperen &Erika Van Iperen-Murre) from Cambodia. And also to visit Marieta van Iperen who's living there, and my extended family. Yesterday, I got told that I shouldn't leave the country, which means those plans are done. We're praying that we can all be together at some point in the next month and a half, but flying 5 people to North America is not cheap. If you're able to help out, we'd be eternally grateful. Of course, there's also a cost to trying to deal with cancer, and some of the money will go towards that as well. 📷❤️📷❤️
The team who set up the Go Fund Me wrote: The funds that are raised will be used at the discretion of Lianne and her family in the months ahead. Some areas would be to purchase supplementary medications, for parking passes at the hospital, for costs not covered in regard to treatment, for gas to travel the 1.5 hours to the cancer centre, as well as going towards plane tickets for Lianne's sister, brother and his family to get back to Canada from where they serve overseas.
Lianne is a Registered Massage Therapist and has recently also been working at Second Cup. But her energy levels have been low lately and work is difficult.
We've linked the Go Fund Me page and trust that the Lord provides for us in every season.
If you are moved to support Lianne financially or any other way, we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
Here you will be forwarded to GoFundMe.
